On September 10th 2018, a big dream came true for Adriana & Laerke - AYNI participated for the first time in New York Fashion Week with its Spring Summer 19 collection.
We were the first Peruvian brand to take part in the show supported by the Council of Aspiring American Fashion Designers (CAAFD).
The AYNI Spring Summer 19 collection is inspired by the majestic landscapes of Peru. Specifically, the rocky mountains and beautiful salt mines of Maras in the Sacred Valley of the Cusco region, which are characterized by their splendorous white roads and imperfectly perfect geometrical details of colored rocks around it.
This collection not only includes alpaca and Pima cotton, but also organic cotton, and offers a full seasonal wardrobe spanning from elevated leisure to contemporary luxury pieces. Supporting our looks this season are a shoe line made of sustainable Peruvian fish leather, dyed organically, and hand-knitted accessories.
The color pallet includes tones of the mountains, minerals and sky of the Peruvian Andes, ranging from white, neutrals and soft sunny yellow to sky blue and shades of red. Shapes and silhouettes have geometric details, dimensional textures, as well as knit points and soft curves, converted into flattering and feminine garments.
AYNI´s vision of fashion has already seduced international key partners like Moda Operandi, Revolve Clothing and recently Bergdorf Goodman, where the brand had a Pop-Up in September.
The luxury department store carried an exclusive selection of our Fall Winter 18 collection of unique hand-knitted pieces.
And did you know that AYNI has also been featured in a variety of international press recently? You might have seen us in Vogue Spain, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle UK and Vogue Italy. And the trend forecasting company WGSN has named us as one of the brands to watch in Latin America this year.
