Staying true to the values embodied by the name Ayni, we are committed to giving back, particularly through training and certification programs for our collaborators. This initiative empowers women by enhancing their employability and expanding their financial opportunities.

In 2012, we launched the Ayni Certify program in partnership with Peru's Ministry of Employment. The inspiration came from the artisans of Amantani, a small community on Lake Titicaca, who faced challenges as their traditional crafts were overshadowed by more lucrative labor options.

With support from government funding, we provide these artisans with formal training and certification, enabling them to start their own businesses and establish a sustainable economic model.

Our goal is to recognize and value individual skills, boosting the self-esteem and empowerment of artisans. We aim to create job opportunities, improve living standards, and ensure our products meet the highest quality standards.

The certification center is a way of giving back and there is one important element that connects everything and everyone in the value chain; love. The kind of love that embraces differences and diversity and values authentic relations. The unconditional love for family, the love that we share between like-minded people when feeling part of a community and a higher purpose and the essential love for one self allowing us to love someone back and make a difference around us.

At Ayni we consider design and craft as equal. Craft practices and social design processes are our key areas of innovation. Transforming and translating culture and heritage through contemporary yet timeless design that is understood and appreciated in our modern complex lives around the world. It's part of our DNA to communicate through our collections using storytelling to share our values and create awareness about arts and crafts and good practices while we encourage you to wear your values. New design systems will be built on partnership, and move from empathy to empowerment.
