FALL WINTER 22/23 - YUMAY COLLECTION
The ''YUMAY'' collection highlights the harmony of nature and the balance of the soul with a hopeful look to the future. This collection is divided into two families, ''MORAY'' and ''MARAS'', which are key sacred places for the Inca culture in the sacred valley of Cuzco.
The second pillar for the development of the YUMAY collection is inspired by one of the most incredible landscapes of Cusco, the ‘Salineras de Maras’ are made up of more than 3,000 natural salt wells near the town of Maras. These are salt mines and their exploitation is as old as the Tahuantinsuyo itself. Located on the hillside, the salt mines, in the form of terraces or platforms, are filled by underground water that runs down the ravine. The origin of the source of it is still a mystery.
This collection pays tribute to our roots and seeks to convey, circularity, love for our ancient culture, and respect for nature by representing our architectural and innovative heritage. The collection holds fluid and feminine silhouettes that symbolize the essence of each place by focusing on versatility and multipurposeness. We wish to share with you unique handcrafted masterpieces that transmit the essence of Peruvian heritage and Scandinavian comfiness while bringing you joy and freedom. We create pieces that cultivate heritage based on the philosophy of reciprocity.
